Internal Grinding

Internal grinding is used to grind the internal diameter of the workpiece.
Tapered holes can be ground with the use of internal grinders that can
swivel on the horizontal.

Surface Grinding

3 Axis automatic (no CNC) Diamond wheels for grinding carbide and
materials with carbide bonded to it. MG has welded small carbide round
blanks into O-1 tool steel (maintaining a base material hardness of RC60)
and ground the O-1/Carbide surface to a
flatness of .00008 inches or .002 mm in a 3 inch length.

Cylindrical Grinding

2 Axis automatic (no CNC) Diamond wheels for grinding carbide and
materials with carbide bonded to it. MG has ground carbide inserts, welded
to mild steel shanks, to a tolerance of +/- .0002" or .005 mm.

Form Grinding

Form grinding is a specialized type of cylindrical grinding where the grinding
wheel has the exact shape of the final product. The grinding wheel does not
traverse the workpiece.
